Research & Communication

Miad - NHS Research and Communication

Somewhere something incredible is waiting to be known

As a medical professional you understand only too well the importance of research. Whether looking to develop enhancements to a learning programme or tackling any other issue you are facing in the workplace, only through proper evaluation can you get the right results.

At Miad we specialise in taking problems and delivering solutions. In simple terms we see research as a four stage process:

The symptoms

By asking questions we gather all the basic facts. After all, without knowing the symptoms how can we set about getting to the root cause of the problem?

The examination

Conducting appropriate quantitative and qualitative research provides us with all of the necessary information.

The diagnosis

Analysing the results of the research will lead us to prescribing a course of treatment.

The treatment

Delivering a course of treatment based on sound, well researched facts provides us with the best chance of a cure.

Many problems, big or small, often start with bad communication

Why is it that things done with the best of intentions don’t always deliver the desired results?

The answer is simple. Whether at home or in the workplace it’s not just about defining what needs to be done, it’s about how you communicate with people.

From outlining simple tasks to delivering key organisational messages, our experience and expertise in learning and development helps us tackle communication problems differently. By emphasising how information and initiatives affect individuals, it is possible to engage people and bring about behavioural change that makes all the difference.
